This Pro-LANC wired remote gives you total control over any LANC-equipped DVR, camcorder or stills camera remotely, at the simple push of a button. There are two types of LANC sockets usually found on camcorders and DVR’s. Early Sony and Canon devices were fitted with a 2.5mm socket (Picture A). If your recorder is like that, it will work directly with our LRC-01 controller, which has a 2.5mm plug. In recent years though, Sony has introduced a new proprietary format, the 10-Pin “D” socket (Picture B). If your recorder has a 10-Pin socket, you will need the STP-01 adapter in order to use the LRC-01 remote with it. Furthermore, this adapter cable allows you not only to use a LANC remote, but also provides the required jacks for A/V Inputs, so that if your camcorder also supports A/V IN functions, you may attach a Bullet Camera and microphone and control their operation via the LANC socket! It is a very convenient way to enhance any Helmet Cam setup.
